Cast-iron tubs came into fashion starting in the 1880s, then enamel over steel. Now bathtubs are mostly formed acrylic, fiberglass, or porcelain, on steel. Wood holds the heat longer than other tub material.I make a Bath from Cedar. I use international epoxy as glue and “everdure ” as the sealant.
