Jerboas move around their environment the same way a kangaroo does, which is by hopping, they also use their tail to balance when hopping, and as a prop when sitting upright. Although they are unbelievable adorable, they known for carrying a deadly disease known as monkey-pox.
Typically, the jerboa has a mouse- or rat-like head and body, cat-like sensory whiskers, owl-like eyes, squirrel-like to jackrabbit-like ears, kangaroo-like back legs, prairie dog-like forelegs and a disproportionally long, sometimes tufted, distinctive tail.

When chased, jerboas can run at up to 24 kilometres per hour[1] (about 15 mph). Some species are preyed on by little owls (Athene noctua) in central Asia. Most species of jerboa have excellent hearing that they use to avoid becoming the prey of nocturnal predators. The typical lifespan of a jerboa is around six years.wikipedia
