4-Stroke Mini Gasoline Steampunk Engine - Precision Craftsmanship in Brass and Stainless Steel
This durable brass and stainless steel internal combustion engine is a beautifully designed piece of machinery. With a displacement of 2.6cc, it features a water-cooling system that enhances its performance and realism, making it a standout among hobbyist-grade model engines.
The engine can run on gasoline, aviation kerosene, and lighter fluid, among other types of fuel. For proper lubrication during operation, just two drops of oil mixed into the fuel are sufficient. While the crankcase itself was left dry for the test run, the bearings were lubricated to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
A custom-fabricated stainless steel muffler has been integrated into the system. Though it helps reduce some of the engine's natural roar, it remains quite audible—especially in quiet environments—so it's probably not something you'd want idling on your office desk unless you’re aiming to turn heads!
It is simple to operate and display because the engine is pre-mounted on a finely finished wooden base (150 x 120 x 30 mm). Starting the engine is flexible—you can use an electric drill for external force starting, or opt for manual pull-starting if you’re feeling hands-on. To run the engine, you’ll need to fill it with 95-octane gasoline.
Equipped with an adjustable-speed carburetor, the engine allows precise control of the throttle for a smoother run. Ignition is powered by a simple 1.5V power supply, providing the necessary spark to fire it up.
