The Alaka’i Skai – Hydrogen Powered VTOL Air taxi With 400 Miles Range
Alaka’i, a Massachusetts startup company, has designed a flying car that both looks futuristic but most of all – actually works!Fueled by Hydrogen.Powered by Simplicity. Skai is a radically simple air mobility system designed to go from A to Anywhere.
It eliminates complexity for an unparalleled level of reliability and safety. It uses hydrogen fuel cells, to provide an energy solution that’s truly clean from end to end.Only simplicity can solve today’s most complex challenges, to create practical transportation for all. A powerful solution that is SIMPLE, SAFE and CLEAN.
This powerful hydrogen fuel cell gives the five-passenger ‘Skai’, the flying car, a maximum range of 400 miles (a whopping 640 km) with a flight time of up to four hours. While this sounds amazing, this obviously didn’t happen overnight and is a culmination of four years of hard work to perfect the design and produce it.

To enable vertical take-off and landing, the vehicle is fitted with six rotors, essentially allowing it to fly like a massive drone. If the worst happens and there’s a propeller failure, an “Airframe Parachute” ensures that the Skai doesn’t simply drop out of the air.//disclose
